MTDK was founded in 2005 by owner Morten Tang on Engelsholmvej in southern Randers. In 2013, Jørgen Richter, head of the technical department, became part of the ownership group with 10% ownership. The company has since grown from the first production hall to today include administration, workshop, warehouse and production halls, totaling 12,000 m² with a central location near the E45 motorway.
When the trailer or semi-trailer is tailored to the purpose, it benefits the haulage business. It is rarely an advantage to drive with an empty trailer or make multiple trips if fewer people can handle the task. That is why we thoroughly understand your company's needs and advise you on a solution that can often lead to significant savings.
MTDK has developed more than 130 trailer models – created by founder Morten Tang in close collaboration with technical staff, customers and suppliers. AMT Trailer is a Danish design that works. The products are manufactured by carefully selected European suppliers and completed in our own workshop in Randers. An AMT Trailer lasts longer and better – simply because it represents the best quality on the market!

MTDK is a company built on high professionalism, common sense and controlled growth. After 15 years with a significant market share in Denmark, our focus continues to develop and produce the most robust and innovative vehicles for the transport industry in Denmark and Scandinavia.

About Morten Tang
Morten Tang, born in 1966 and raised in Laurbjerg as the son of a truck driver, has had trucks close to his life from an early age. After school, he spent his afternoons screwing, hammering and repairing his father's cars. When that wasn't enough, he went over to his neighbor, who was also his uncle and owner of a body shop. Here he gained further experience, which later led him into the industry with roles as foreman, technician, body builder, salesman and purchaser, before founding MTDK A/S in 2005. "I know how it should look and work," says Morten Tang about AMT Trailerne. On supplier visits, he doesn't hesitate to step in himself and show how things should be done. Although he currently focuses primarily on development, he still masters the craft to perfection. Morten Tang is driven by finding smarter and better solutions that stand out and add real value. This focus on innovation has led, among other things, to the development of 4-axle tipper trailers, designed for transporting materials such as stone, gravel, grain and beets. These trailers have become some of the most popular on the market, with a unique Danish design that is constantly adjusted and optimized to maximize the trailer's utility value. Morten's dream is for MTDK to be run independently by dedicated employees, a culture that has characterized the company from the beginning. One of these key people is Jørgen Richter, who has worked closely with Morten for over 21 years. "We understand each other without a lot of talking," says Jørgen, who became a co-owner with 10% of the company in 2013. For Morten, employees of this caliber are crucial to the company's success, and he believes they should be rewarded with ownership - a philosophy that has strengthened MTDK's foundation.

Morten Tang is known as a friendly and welcoming leader, both internally in the company and among customers, suppliers and partners. Many of the employees have been with us from the very beginning and have developed together with the company. One example is planner Jens 'Futter' Nielsen, who started as a blacksmith and today works closely with the engineers in the technical department. The great freedom and scope that the employees are given creates opportunities for ownership and personal as well as professional development.
MTDK as a workplace
At MTDK, it is the employees who drive success. We prioritize a good, safe and pleasant working environment, which is supported through open dialogue across the organization and by having well-being firmly on the agenda. Social events strengthen unity, and the tone is free, informal and positive. Every month, we end the last Friday with a joint lunch and barbecue. In addition, the staff association organizes three to four annual events, such as a summer trip and the traditional Christmas lunch.
